Mental Health First Aid Training
The Niall Stringer Foundation has raised money to reach out to all sports clubs in the UK to participate in The Mental Health First Aider Training.
Why this matters?
The Foundation has one clear mission, to raise awareness of mental health and equip sports clubs with the tools to actively contribute to suicide prevention in young people.
The Training
The training is conducted of an Introductory to mental health, where all club members , volunteer staff, management, coaches, parents and players over 16 hopefully sign up to take part. From this session the club selects 2 individuals to book onto the MHFA training which is held over 2 full days. The selected participants will then become certified Mental Health First Aiders for their club - fully funded by the Niall Stringer Foundation.
