Trustees & Patrons
Trustee
Phil Stringer
I am Phil, Niall's dad.
Niall took his own life on 18th February 2022. This was the biggest shock I will ever experience in my life, and the reason that myself and the rest of the team started the Niall Stringer Foundation.
We must educate people that there are always people you can turn to for help with any problems you have.
Being a site project manager in construction, I see a lot of stress and worry amongst people, and taking that little bit of time to check in on them and make sure they are ok is crucial. This is the aim of the Niall Stringer Foundation to talk, to listen and to support.

Trustee
Gary Christopher
I had the privilege of coaching Niall at Old Brentwoods RFC and witnessed first-hand what a vibrant and talented young individual he was and his infectious enthusiasm rubbed off on his teammates.
His untimely loss came as a shock to all of us and I ask myself "what did I miss, what could I have done to help?" The signs of his inner struggles were never apparent.
As a trustee, I am committed to the foundations mission of preventing teenage suicide and promoting mental health. Through collaborative efforts, we aim to provide resources, support, systems, and educational initiatives that empower individuals to recognise and address mental health issues.
By breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, we hope to create a safe space where our children can openly discuss their struggles and seek help without fear of judgment.
Together, we can make a difference and ensure that no one else has to endure the pain and loss that Niall's family, friends and teammates experienced.
Trustee
Mark Elliott
My name is Mark Elliott I knew Niall through rugby, my son played with him. He was a fantastic
young man whom had so much to offer.
I have experienced the impact mental health and wellbeing can have within my own family and to see one so young lost was terrible.
It was therefore an easy decision to get involved with the foundation. We are passionate about raising awareness around mental wellbeing, and providing support to sporting clubs with how to ensure they provide a safe and supportive environment.
